Not only 'WORST SPOILER EVER' but it also won, 'WORST REAR TAILLIGHTS EVER',lol.

PWebRPH 05-10-2007 12:40 PM

Wow... that defies words. That is one step above bolting an ironing board on your trunk lid.

FrayAdjacent 05-10-2007 12:49 PM

I just saw those tail lights on Ebay earlier... yeah, they don't look nice. There are a couple other LED tails that look pretty nice. I might save up for a set... then clear the sidemarkers on my car... and it will be totally clear.

Allen K. Littlefield 05-10-2007 01:05 PM

LOL, those lights look like a demon got caught in a gum machine, ouch!!!! I saw a similar spoiler on anothe car and it looked pathetic as I don't think the machine it was on was capable of triple digit travel, but then I could be wrong.....perhaps a Q ship???

AKL  :troll:

Yes. Very true. but my tail lights are the same brand and make, just not clear! I have the RED leds with chrome/silver bulbs inside the blinkers to get rid of the amber color. Looks pretty good this way. But the version this guy has is silly looking.

Burg Boxster 05-10-2007 01:18 PM

That's the Boxster AM radio antenna hack. Either way he needs to pick up a bottle of this stuff:

You wouldn't have ever known that you guys have the same brand and make if you didn't mention anything.

conradtan 05-10-2007 01:24 PM

You guys are all wrong! That's the BEST rice-effect I've ever seen! Haha!!!

I know, but I just wanted to let people know that if you select the right one and do a little adjusting to it, it can look very nice. :)

porsche986spyder 05-10-2007 01:43 PM

Here is another angle. If this guy got rid of the ugly wing and those tail lights his car would be realy nice looking. To bad he doesn't know any better.

I beg your pardon, but I think you are. Why else would you bring up someones race when you are talking about a car?

Might want to read the forum rules again, btw we have a lot of asian Pcar owners here that have great taste.

Sorry I didn't mean to sound that way. I just wonder when the term RICER comes up if that offends them too? What I meant was that the younger import scene has allot of Asian influences in the designs of their cars and body kits, i.e. spoilers and wings too. I will edit my earlier post.

Please explain yourself?

I do not think I was acting "Hot" just replying to a post, you can keep your pill.

jonnycool 05-11-2007 01:37 PM

ok the spoiler is a little extreme but then modding a car is all about personal taste, if we all listened to henry ford the world WOULD be a dull place, i mean it,s not like it,s peppermint green with black wheels or anything is it..... oh ..ummm....lol and yes it was kinda racest but it was'nt malicious!.....ps mine is black!! good old henry! ;)

gunny 05-11-2007 03:33 PM

just my 2 cents but his plates says TOMZKI. Maybe a Polish person and not asian?

cartagena 05-11-2007 11:54 PM

I do not know if this guy is Asian or not. But I would put my money down on a bet that he is not German.

Living outside of North America for a long time, I am a little confused about this whole "ricer" concept anyway. What motivates people to do this to an otherwise perfectly good car? I understand when I see Hondas with big stupid looking spoilers on them. I figure that it is owned by some 16 year old who could not afford a real car so he decided to make his piece of **************** look different than all the other pieces of ****************. But why do this to a Porsche? Do they really think it looks cool or adds some sort of value/performance to the car? Does this help them meet girls? Could someone explain?

jonnycool 05-12-2007 12:07 AM

it's sheik tomzki akbaar, nice guy, anyway i think ol'e travis looked over and realised tomzki's spoiler was bigger than his, (happens to me all the time ...in the john!) don't worry travis it's the way you use it!!

conradtan 05-12-2007 12:19 AM

STOP SAYING "RICE"!!! Being Asian, you guys are making me hungry! Haahhahhahaa!!! :D By the way, offended I am NOT. As for being a racist comment, I guess it was kinda-sorta, but I thought it was applicable and humorous. I say it all the time!

cvhs18472 05-12-2007 02:56 AM

I'm Polish and I take offence to the comment about being Polish because there are some strang letters in the name plate. Just Kidding. Everybody has to develope a little thicker skin. The term Ricer was used many times in the thread and though everyone knew where the term came from it was OK for polite society. Someone staes the obvious and all of a sudden it is racist. Lighten up.

It's in that picture of Travis's avatar down below. Looks like a Giant Half Eaten Vinella Wafer! ;)

That's the areo 2 kit version. Not the 1st gen. one. That one looks a little bit better. Here is the web link for Porsche that sells it.
