Where else can I get used clear headlights?

Tried eBay, I've been outbid. Tried here, eric95 sold to darkhamr before I could get a chance! Found a craigslist listing, the guy wants $700 (too much in my opinion ) So I'm willing to pay 5 to 6 hundred as I think that's what they should go for . Any place else I should try? |

try Rennlist.com and the Porsche Club of America classifieds.Stick to your guns, even $500 is too much in my opinion. They are no different than the stock orange units that you can pick up for $100 anywhere.
Amazing that no one has come up with some kind of clip on device to at least hide the orange. Wish I had my own factory...

when you see a listing on ebay, email the seller and ask how much they want for it.just 2 months ago i emailed a guy, he said 250 plus shipping.

later on they sold for 550

When I first was looking for clear headlights, I went around to each Porsche forum and noticed someone posting that they had upgraded to Litronics. I noticed he had an 03 Boxster, which starting from 03, all Boxsters came with clear headlights, so I asked him if he wanted to sell his clear lights. Got em for $450, and then unloaded my amber headlights on fleabay. Then, later on, when I noticed one of my Boxster buddies was selling his car (which had litronics), I asked him if I could buy them from him before he turned his car in, and he told me to just come over and swap out my halogens for his litronics....for FREE!! Nice deal, and I love the Litronics. Don't pay more than 5 or 6 hundred for the clear halogens, because for a few hundred more, you can get used Litronics.

Try www.ebay.de the german site as many will ship DHL to the States and prices are usually lower.

Sorry.
I felt very fortunate to find a set locally and avoid shipping and duties. I wish you luck on your quest. I think I was destined to log in at that exact moment.
Thanks again eric95 |

+1

That's a good route to go, I also never bid till the last few seconds of the auction and just submit my budgeted amount as my bid.

Of course you have another option . . . . . .

You live in the same town as unklekraker right?, he has clear headlights right? . .

Invite him over for a few drinks then excuse yourself and go outside and swap headlights
Of course there might be some "ethics" involved here . . . .

(and remember this is just between you and me)

Hey... I just ordered the Bentley manual from amazon for $50. It seems like a good manual from what I have been reading. Good price?

And we can go drinking and then switch headlights cause you know the amber would look great on your color! *snicker- snicker...
