2000 Boxter S Problem on cold startup

I am a new Porsche owner. I have a 2000 boxster S with 16k miles. For the past week when I go to start my boxster. The engine feels like it is missing a cylindar, the car makes a noise kind of like a misfire and has a rough idle, for about 30 secs and sluggish at first and then it levels out. The car is fine for the rest on the day, it starts just fine until I let it sit overnight and start it again the next day. I have no check engine light on.

Any adivse would be helpful! Thanks

Use it or lose it

Only 16,000 miles? Boy and I thought my 2000 Boxster S had low mileage at 38,000. Mine has run perfectly since the day I bought it. Your problems might stem from that there is such a thing as too low mileage. Porsche specifies that if you drive your car less than 9,000 miles per year you must have a yearly maintenance done which includes changing the oil (even with less than 9,000 miles on it). Cars can actually break down and deteriorate faster from lack of use. Fluids don't get circulated and also break down forming acids that can eat away at gaskets and rubber or pastic parts. You need to have it checked by a competent Porsche dealer or tuner.

Spark plugs heat range

I think Porsche changed the Spark plug heat range from 6 to 7 for similar systematic issues-on cold starts. What heat range are you using?
