large amount of water under drivers seat
 

i have the diagram for drain holes, and checked them out kinda, look to be ok.
i have no idea how so much water accumulates under the carpet.
before i had a problem where one screw that was holding up the plastic cover under the car was missing, so i replaced it and put a rubber washer to prevent water coming in, cleaned up all the water and tought that would be it.
when i was messing around w the convertible roof i had the seat all the way forward, and the carpet was fully wet, the spungy stuff under it as well, and large puddle of water underneath.
what do you guys suggest?
i will be pulling out the seat over the weekend to inspect further, but wow, its a lot of water under there.
btw, the passinger side is completely dry

Time for you to tupperware up your alarm unit underneath the driver seat. It was Jim's idea and I can't remember exactly what he said but it sounded pretty good.

i have the diagram like i said, but its confusing and i really cant tell what im looking at, id appreciate it if anyone can show an actual picture of this? especially the one that would affect the water coming in under the drivers side only..

Hello, put the top in the service position. There are drain holes close to where the top frame bolts to the body. Pour water in those holes. They should drain immediatly. If they don't, then they are cloggeduse a long stiff wire and move it up an down untill it is free. Also compressed air can help. Did you ever remove the door panels? Perhaps the plastic water shield either is damaged or has been removed. Hope this helps. Peter
