ANyone ever use a product called Wind Baffle?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this item and used it before:

http://www.autobarn.net/theshield.html

I recently purchased this item, and it arrived yesterday. The problem is, it seems like they have shipped me the wrong product as it does not fit my Boxster rollbars as advertised in the pictures. I am hoping someone has used this item before, and show me a picture of how theirs fit.

Thank you again for your help!

Joshua

OMG! I looked at the site and it's a freaking piece of polycarbonate with some holes for velcro for $249.00!

Tell ya what. Send that POS back, send me $150.00 (a $100.00 savings - free shipping!) and I'll make one that fits perfectly in a couple of days I'll even throw in lifetime shield replacements (just pay shipping & handling).

Sorry. Just couldn't help myself. BUT IT'S $249.00!!!! FOR THAT! When all of the components probably came from the local Home Depot.

$249.00!!!

Sorry. I'm feeling better.

$249.00!!!

I am even willing to beat DenverPete's offer of $150.00.

I will give you the same advertised item for as little as 3 EASY PAYMENTS of $49.99. And if you buy now I'll throw in a second set FREE!

Seriously though, return that POS ASAP! There better areas that $250.00 can be spent.

Hi Shaman1204,

Thanks for your recommendation. $215 for the entire wind deflector kit shipped seems like a great deal. I will be writing to him to ask about it too.

Btw, once the item is obtained, is it possible to self install or do we have to go to a dealer to install the wind deflector kit? I would be hoping it may be a manageble self install.......

Josh

I'm assuming you have the plastic mounts already on the roll bars, right? If so then putting the wind deflector on is a snap... literally. It comes in and out easily, just put the base on the tab and snap the sides into place.

The screens under the roll bars pop in and out.
