Porsche mechanic near DC area recommendation

I picked up 99 base model last month with 35k miles on it. I put on about 2k miles in one month and the car seems to run very well. However, I do want to take it to a good Porsche mechanic sometime soon to check out the car before I notice anything wrong with it on the road. I'm not sure if Porsche dealer is the best place for older boxster check up and I do not want to take it to someone who has no clue about P-cars. Can anyone recommend me a good Porsche mechanic in DC area? Thanks.

If you find one make sure you add it to the list:

I haven't had a problem with my car yet, but the guys from the Chesapeake Chapter PCA swear by this guy:

I've used both IMA Motorsport and Autobahn (as if there were only one, but I can't remember the rest of their name ) - both in Fairfax, VA.

RPM down in Newington is well respected as well.

Not sure of any shops in the District proper for good P-Car work though

I used RPM and they were very good, you also might do a search on www.dorkiphus.com and see what pops up.

Good luck

Fairfax and Alexandria locations are close enough. I don't think I would trust any District shops as racer_d says. Thanks for the input everyone. I think I'm going to try out Authority Pitstop when I get a chance. As a newbie I love this forum. Learning so much over here.

Not to change the subject but here's a pic of 3 silver P-cars parked in our condo at SE DC. We don't have designated spots so it was odd to have all 3 of them next to each other for one day. Too bad Carrerra 4 Cabrio had the cover on for the day.
