Love it! All your mods look great!

Thanks! :D

Car has a real clean look Stryke. Very nice. The car looks lowered but I'm thinking the skirts and gt3 bumper maybe just add that affect. The front bumper is definately lower than stock. Watch out for dips!:) Is rejex available in stores?

Stryke 05-21-2004 08:15 AM

The car looks lowered because I put the 5mm spacers all around before the Technos. It fills the wheel wells nicely and gives it a lowered look. I ordered the bottle here:

Cool. Where can I obtain a set of these 5mm spacers and are they easy to install? I assume just take the wheels off and put them on?

Stryke 05-21-2004 07:26 PM

They are a Porsche item from the 550 edition. You also need to ask for a set of longer locking lug nuts to accommodate them. They are simple to put on. Did in in my driveway with a floor jack! :)

Adam 05-21-2004 07:30 PM

I see. Where can I pick up a set? My dealer?

Stryke 05-21-2004 07:32 PM

Yup, any Porsche dealer. You can also call Rick at Suncoast Porsche and tell him Gil from NY sent you. I have bought a ton from him like my wheels, spacers, tail lamps, side markers, lug set and sent him a ton of referrals. He always gives me great prices. :D

I think the spacers were under $300 with lugs. :)

ehljags 05-23-2004 02:12 PM

The Technos look very good. What size (width) are they? I replaced my conti's with P-zero Rosso's. the tires are great, but milage will be poor (8000 and the wear-bars are showing up).

Stryke 05-23-2004 02:47 PM

The Techno's are 18x10 rear and 18x8.5 front. :)

Adam 05-23-2004 06:26 PM

Thanks for the help Gil. I'm going to be looking into getting those spacers real soon. I wonder why porsche doesn't add them to all new boxsters instead of just the 550.:( Any problems with them stryke? rubbing?

Stryke 05-24-2004 06:26 AM

Only when I turn the wheel all the way like to make a U-turn does the front tire very gently hit the plastic inside the wheel well. Once the tire wears down another mm from it's brand new condition it won't hit anymore. I went with wider wheels in the front and that is why it happens. Really not a big deal. :)

Ckrikos 05-26-2004 02:30 PM

Stryke,

You have a great looking car. I noticed you are from NYC, you should come on some of the boxster group drives around here. I would like to see your car in person. I was thinking of buying the sport techno wheels a while back when Suncoast was blowing out their inventory.

Stryke 05-26-2004 03:03 PM

That's what I did, bought mine from Rick. :)

I'll come out to the Island to meet with you guys, just let me know when in advance. :)

I just used Rejex for the first time, pretty much stunned.

Very easy to apply as it works on anything but rubber/soft plastics/roof. Requires no elbow grease to remove (no wax-on/wax-off or electric polisher). Improved the glass and rims quite a bit as well. Looks different than any wax type product I've seen.

I'd post pics, but it wouldn't do the car justice. Note: I clayed the car first to get waxes and other detailing crap off the paint first.

Contrary to popular opinion, Rejex is available in retail stores...

I love that freakin bumper, you and TriGem have it on, and it looks so good.

KRZ :D

Best results on SIlver with REjex from my experience come from using with a PC polisher. This product likes Seal Grey.
A little bit too much dried up bits for my liking and the gloss wasn't as high as others (I think you can notice it on Stryke's old Silver here).
Some products are better on certain colors.
Dark Colors look great with most high end products. Lighter colors like SIlver and White really need a higher gloss topper like S100 or P21s to get that extra sparkle. The FK1-#425 I just ordered is receiving claims of the highest gloss of a synth. on the market....we'll see about that!

and of course dark colors love toppers just as much as light ones.
