'Boxster' decal broken

Hey Guys,

I bought an '01 Boxster 2 months ago and am really happy with it (I will put up pics later). Anyway, I noticed that the "B" in the Boxster decal at the back is chipped off .

I Think it was the car wash that pulled that piece out. Any suggestions on fixing it, how much would a new decal cost (its black) and how do I get it installed?

Thanks

It's a do it yourself trick.

Dental floss will remove the old one.

Just put the dental floss on the back edge and begin to saw at the adhesive.

Sounds bad but is really easy and non abrasive.

if you choose to replace it, the new one has adhesive on the back.

Suncoast has them, and you can upgrade to a silver one like the new 04 limited edition boxsters.

I don't have one on my car at all, and it really looks good badge-less, in my opinion. People ask me what kind of car it is all the time, not realizing it's a Porsche.

I assume that you have not put your boxster through a car wash yet, and the previous owner did this, right?

Gee, I hope so. Washing one's Porsche by hand is a delight that should not be given to any other person. I liken it to scratching my golden retreiver behind the ears each day... we both enjoy it so!

Check out Ebay, or even do a search on Google. You COULD get it from your dealer, but I think you'd be paying about 5 times as much.

If you felt daring you could try to fix your old one with superglue, but depending on how it broke, that might just be an ugly fix.

I picked up a TURBO badge a few months ago (for inspiration) for about $22 off of Ebay.

I tried ebay (didn't find it) and will keep trying it. I saw it for 22 pounds on a british website http://www.porscheparts.co.uk.

Here is one for you.

Kind of steep though, I have seen them for $15.00.
