Help reinstalling headunit - CDR220

Got it out, connected the AUX cable, removed keys but can't get the thing all the way back in.

There appears to be plenty of room for the cables but it stops about 1inch short.

Any tricks?

Thanks

Nevermind - I got it. Must have been holding my mouth wrong

iPod here I come - works great but a road test is next to see if there's any engine noise.

My first mod BTW

it is a snig fit but of you wiggle left to right while pushing it in it will go.

I've taken mine out twice, once for the Aux kit and once for the Rear Speaker kit. For anyone tripping on this thread with the same issue in the future... try wiggling up and down too.

It appeared when I was doing it that it was getting caught on the lip below. Pushing down on the part of the headunit that's hanging out (so that you lever the back end up) as you push it in should help you out a little.

just for future reference:
When you are totally stuck, take out the cupholders or A/C control above the radio, now you can put a hand in and "guide" all the cables

Good advice - I think a cable was hanging where the guides are.

Have you tried untwisting your tounge and closing your mouth when installing??? works for me!

Yeah, I was surprised how much pressure was needed to put the head unit back in.
I had to take the cup holder out on top and guide it in from topside. Good job!
