Well, I just bought a set of 18" wheel just like thoses W/ colored crests (but without tires) last week for $300.00.

Not sure if this information is helpful or not. Hopefully so......

it helps the buyer not the seller..ahahahahaha! but definitely not helping my ECU tuning, j/k :)
it helps...I just want to make sure that the price I set is fair esp. for forum members and if anyone is interested locally, I will even throw in a higly collectible "amber side marker" :D

Yea, I didn't want to come across as a jerk. That is why I didn't post on your other thread.

I really wasn't in the market for wheels ( I got them as an extra set to put auto-X tires on ) so I don't really know what they should go for. Maybe you are right where you should be.

unklekraker 03-15-2007 10:08 AM

oh no, dude! you didn't come across as a jerk
If I end up not seling it before the next AX here, I will just end up using it instead of the 18"s

I bought a set of those from ebay like 9 months ago for $400 plus $200 in shipping I believe it was. They were in great condition (but definitely not perfect... one curb rash spot and a mark here or there)... and the price I got, considering the other offers I saw going on, was a good deal. I typically saw them going for about $600 not including shipping.

Edit: They had color center caps, but no tires.

unklekraker 03-15-2007 10:24 AM

thanks! So I would say that the price I set was fair enough esp. for locals that don't have to pay for shipping :)

I sold my 17" Boxster wheels (No Center Caps) with Michelin PS2 tires for $750 about a year go.

I was in a hurry to get rid of them before the parents found out I had abought new wheels so I let them go to the first guy who made an offer.

I think you should be able to get $1,000 for them if you wait long enough.

Do you all think there's a market for 17" Boxster II S wheels??? That's what I have on my car (even tho its not an S, the original owner opted for these wheels).

TriGem2k 03-15-2007 01:30 PM

If its for sale then there is a market. Thats they way I look at it.

TriGem....

I hope you realize that I'm slowly building the "seal-gray-trigem" Boxster. I have the skirts and GT3 bumper installed now. I really like the looks of your 986!
