Anyone going to Sebring this weekend?

I was going to go over to Sebring Thursday night but now it looks like I'll only be there for the main event on Saturday. Anyone else going?

Here are a few pictures I took last year:

Ouch. I guess no love for Sebring?

I would of thought someone from here beside me was going to make the trek. :ah:

Oh well..........

I guess not ;)

But the photos you took were quite nice, what camera / lens did you use?

I'll be there in spirit, and watching on TV. F1 on Saturday night too!

I'm torn between my love for both Acura and Porsche. P2 should kick ass this year, while Audi and Corvette have spent themselves into solitary :)

Wont be making it to Sebring this time around. Some day I will. I was lucky enough to have a little bit of Sebring come to me this past sunday.

A Mazdaspeed sponsored event brought the B-K Motorsports team and drivers to a local dealership. Turns out one of my fellow autocross club members, Gerardo Bonilla is now driving for the team (though not in the main event), here are just a few pics:

Very very cool to see the cars, talk to the drivers and the team members, a rare opportunity.

The Drivers signing posters (L to R: Abbott, Bonilla, Devlin, Matos, Bach):

The IMSA Lites Elan DP-02, this one is Mishael Abbott's (standing next to the car), my buddy will be driving the other team DP-02 car:

Thanks!

Nikon D50 with a 70 - 300 mm lens. Shutter priority with the shutter speed set as fast as it could under the conditions. Also I was "panning" with the car.

I couldn't get any good pictures of the winning LMP1 TDI Audi because I couldn't hear the car coming while I had my eye to the camera waiting to pan. By the end of the day, I was obcessed with getting the shot......but never did. Damn that quiet TDI.

Kabel, I have a great pic of the Mazdaspeed LMP2 car (well, at least as good as the other photos I posted) from last year. If you want me to send it to you, let me know.

++Whoo hoo! Just found out my buddy Gerardo won his Sebring race, and his team mate Mishael came in fourth!

Thanks for the photo offer Rob. I only watched the ALMS races casually, but now i have a greater interest this year having met the team.

Though just set to auto mode, my pictures above were snapped with my new favorite toy at the office, Leica D-Lux 3
