Question
I have a 2000 Boxster w/ 65k miles. I pulled into the garage tonight after work, and as I walked around the back of the car, water just came gushing out. No lights were on the whole way home from work. I opened the rear lid and there was condensation on the water reservoir. About 10k miles ago, I had to replace the water pump. Could it have gone again? What do you think? Any ideas?

Water came gushing out from underneath the car?
Sounds like a NIGHTMARE. I'd cry. |
Sounds like it COULD be the cooling pump... might be one of the lines going to the reservoir... or the reservoir itself failed. I have heard of some reservoirs cracking....
Definitely DO NOT run the engine until you figure it out, or have it towed to a wrench. |
Wel its hot there, If the water reseviour level is fine, then i would say thats condensation off your AC lines which is ok.

Water or coolant? IF water, the a/c is likely just taking its usual dump. No worries.
Coolant, well, it is off to the mechanic you go! :) Brake fluid? Call the tow truck. Let us know what you find out! |
