2001 Boxster S Roller and Project Parts FS
Going to just part it out at this point. Thanks for the interest in the tub.
I am selling my project car as I have decided to go another way. 2001 Boxster S with motor/transmission removed ~133k miles. Consider selling tub/roller or parting out depending on if no one needs the tub. Have the clean title still and has recently had all coolant lines swapped and added the 3rd radiator, in project state. It has a black top with glass rear window and the bi-xenon headlights and LED tail lights. I was in the process of converting to a 996 3.6 swap though stopped at the harness re-wire phase. I need to make room so the tub needs to get out of the garage, if there is little interest may just part out/cut up and take to the scrapper. Rolling tub as is with carpets removed and A/C lines still hooked up to compressor and stock seats - $1000 I have other parts if anyone needs something specific. 3.2 short block (one head still has a crack thus why it mixed after complete rebuild) - $1500 Boxster 18" sport classic wheels - $1250 Stock S exhaust - $100 Manual 6 speed transmission - $2000 Stock 986 tail lights (2 sets) - $100 each Various other exhaust/suspension parts for the swap/upgrade.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1723071018.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1723071165.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1723071416.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1723071543.jpg |
Looks like a great deal for the tub. I'd buy it today if I was closer. I posted a link to this on another forum and have a couple questions:
When you say "Rolling tub as is with carpets removed and A/C lines still hooked up to compressor and stock seats - $1000", does that include the installed lights, top, bumper covers and cooling system? ...how about a seat, shifter, axles? If the buyer does not have wheels available when they pick it up, do you have any alternative inexpensive wheels available that they can buy or use to load and unload it? It might be considered to build for the $2000 Challenge. GLWS  |
Yes I was doing that with the cooling system, bumpers, top and stock grey seats (not the black ones just sitting in there). I do have a set of sport wheels that have old track tires that can be put on to roll it out of there. This is all to get the tub out as if I took everything off I am sure I could make more on the parts and just send the tub to the scrappers, just trying to save some time and effort there cutting it up. Not looking to reinstall everything but do have all the parts and bolts to put it back together for someone once rolled out. Thanks for the cross post.
That $2000 challenge looks like a fun time. |
Thanks for the interest in the tub but going to just part it out at this point and scrap the tub. Will get a new post up when I get everything listed.
