Convertible top control unit 1999 986 base
 

Dear All,

Convertible top stopped working and after doing some diagnostics it seems the control unit (a.k.a. double relay) is faulty. A new one costs $220, i`d rather go with a used one but I didn`t find any. I`ll check out some dismantlers but first I thought I`d give it a shot here, perhaps someone has one and willing to sell it.

I'm not exactly sure where its located, been a while but my convertible unit has been removed from the Car. I doubt I would have removed the relay. So it should be there. 2001 S

It’s in the drivers footwell on the left. It is the largest of the relays in the top center.

Hi, I just saw this now.. Unfortunately that won`t work, I need the earlier version, from 1997-1999. Thanks though...
