Watching this for final sales price as I have a silver one I am thinking of selling. GLWS.

Watching as I have a Arctic Silver 986 :-)

I don't think $2800 is the number when I've seen them sell for almost half that.

yea, that's twice the price they sell for. They list all the time for more then $1700 and never sell. Good luck with it at that price.

Yeah, I agree. Here is a quote from the Pelican Parts website:

"I believe that Porsche still has new tops available for purchase, however, they are a little less than $3000, and then you will have to pay for shipping from your dealer. I've found that the best place to find hardtops is in your local classifieds or on Craigslist. People tend to get stuck with these in their garages after they sell their car, and they are incredibly difficult to ship as well. Plus, you have to find a seller who has the same color car that you had too. The bottom line is that you can typically pick up good used tops for about $1000 or so".

I've been looking for one myself, and there's a couple that are up for sale in my neck of the woods, but they want $2K for them. They've been for sale for at least a couple of years now. Evidently they're not interested in selling them.

That Pelican quote must be at least a decade old.

MSRP for a hardtop is now $5297.
Some volume Porsche parts dealers have them discounted at around $4500-$4700.
