WTB: 986 Airbag Deactivation Bar

Just picked up a 2002 Boxster and would like to take my kids for a ride occasionally to join in the fun. Does anyone have a deactivation bar (and buckle) they would be willing to part with? Thanks!

I have one and it’s still attached to the seat.
Will need to figure out how to remove it.

it's attached by the same two bolts that hold the front of the seat down. The bolts for the child safety buckle are longer than for one without. One of you two will have to buy new bolts

Dont forget, you will have to have the dealer program your car for this. Without the programming to disable the pass airbag the bar will be useless.

Don't worry about it if it's too much of a hassle. I found a new one on sale for around $200. I'd still need to source a buckle though. I do have an independent Porsche mechanic that should be able to do the necessary programming.

This link shows how to convert a 944 buckle to one that works with the deactivation bar. BTW: my idie was able to program the bar several years ago

@jotate, I got the bar off. Sorry it took a while. I had to pickup a E12 socket.

How about $60 plus shipping? PM me your zip.
