Dash component with metal mount installed for double DIN head unit
 

I have the center dash from a pre-facelift Boxster (I believe it will fit cars through the 2002 model year, but look closely and verify that the shape of the vent openings are the same as in your car.) This has a metal cage for a double-DIN head unit securely attached. This will enable you to install a more functional head unit without cutting your existing dash parts. It also has a trim "ring" that will fit tightly around your new head unit and ensure a professional-looking and secure installation.
