For sale : Durametric cable 3 VINs (The software say there is no VIN recorded) It comes with a 10ft USB extension. In his plastic case and in perfect condition.

That is a great deal!

I have the same version and it also doesn't count VINs. I have used it on 4 different cars and still shows no VINs used. I think there was a batch they made that should be limited to 3 VINs, but are not

How do tell which version is the one that does not count VINs?

In the Durametric software in the menu up there....

from Durametric web site :
Question: How do I check the VINs stored by the tool?
Answer: Connect the tool to the computer, open the program, and go to Tools | Tool Information.

The software will go and read in the cables to check how many VIN have connected to. If I remember well the VIN are also visible.

Of course the cable should be connected when checking this.
