Try eBay, you find them there now and then. I was looking for one here (at the forum) myself for my '99, never was able to find one. Later decided I really didn't want one after all.

I think I saw one for sale over the PPBB.com recently, not sure if it is still for sale. Can't recall for sure, but I think it was AS.

EDIT: It's an Ocean Blue, but you can paint these things you know. This one is in California.

Thanks...I'll check out cost of painting. Thought I read somewhere that for 1997 it has to be specifically for a 97...tops for 98 and above won't work. Did I make that up or have any ideas???
ps thanks for the ppbb.forum info, will keep my eye on that one

I am not really sure which model year hardtops fit on a '97. I kind of thought they were all interchangeable over several model years, but maybe not with the '97. I really don't know. Post your question at PPBB, you are sure to get more responses there to your specific question. This forum is great, but the traffic is such that you won't get too many respones when you need an answer like this quickly. In that respect, the high volume of traffic at PPBB is bound to get you an answer the same day in all likelihood. Good luck!

Used to live in Petaluma, worked in Santa Rosa. Lovely part of California, some nice roads up there for the Boxster! Have fun!

I have a 1997 silver hard top. Used it for 2 weeks in 5 years but I am going to keep it.

Any year top will fit on a 1997. The only difference with a 1997 is it has "ears" on the side for mounting the old version of the RTS. When Porsche changed the way the RTS mounted in 1998 the ears we eliminated from the 1998 up tops. If you do not have the old version RTS then any year is good for your 1997. Jeff
