WTB 02 sensors, Bay Area

Where is the most reasonable priced place to buy o2 sensors in the bay area besides dealers? Most auto shop dont have it in stock or they are as expensive as dealer.

Don't buy them retail or you'll get your head ripped off at your ankles.

I found the cheapest source for Bosch sensors ($113.00)that have the correct plug on them here:

http://www.oxygensensors.com

Here's the direct link for the 2.5 motor's sensors that I bought:

http://www.automedicsupply.com/catalog.php?&engine=H6-2.5L

FWIW: Buy and replace all four at once unless you want a lot of future CE lights and really bad performance from your Boxster.

When I go to www.oxygensensors.com they say that the sensors are made by Walker. Is there a difference between Walker and Bosch? Am I not looking in the right place?

Call the company on the phone and ask for Bosch. They have them (or can get them for you) for a very reasonable price compared to the dealership or other online sources.

The guy who owns the place took it over from his dad years ago and is a great guy to work with. Be sure to tell him that I told you to call and that you found the info about his company on a post I created on 986forum.com. This might jog his memory for when I called him last month and urged him to put a 4 sensor deal together on our website as an official sponsor.

(This is to get him to sign up for a banner ad so we can all benefit from his excellent products and services!)

Prices at http://www.oxygensensorwholesale.com/ seem pretty good for Bosch sensors. I have not bought anything from them, nor am I anyway affliated.

deliriousga built some out of generic sensors, all four for $160:

Finally replaced all 4 O2 sensors w/ generics for $160.
