3 spoke tiptronic steering wheel w/ airbag

Factory original OEM three spoke steering wheel with tiptronic thumb switches and airbag all in good condition. The photos are of the actual item listed here.

Part numbers:
Steering wheel is 996.347.804.64, 996-347-804-64
Airbag 996.803.089.02, 996-302-089-02

Fits 99-04 996 911 including Carrera, Turbo, CS2, CS4
97-04 Boxster
00-04 Boxster S

Designed for those Porsche models that have the tiptronic automatic transmission. The air bag is all used on those Porsche models that have the manual transmission. The steering wheel could be used on manual equipped model if you don't mind having the thumb gear shift changers on the wheel (obviously those switches won't work with the manual transmission.)

Can the thumb gear shifter be removed? Thinking of getting some carbon fiber inserts there but want to make sure they can be removed.

Interested in this wheel so lets chat/text. I'll PM you my Ph.

Yes, the thumb shifters can be removed. I can see the screws, but don't want to take it apart for fear I might break something. I'll leave that to you.

Lowered the price to $499.95. You can't beat that.

The components, wheel and airbag, purchased separately are less expensive.

Further, this:

OP could do better on the price, you know... enthusiast courtesy.

Good find. Mine is in a little better condition, but that is a deal someone should jump on. I believe mine is the second least expensive. Thanks for the discussion.

Oh. Well... better condition warrants the price. The $$ difference would be nagging me while staring at an abrasion or scratch.

I waited and waited for the three-spoke (replaced the sedan 4-spoke wheel) until I found an attractive price. Got a deal, after months and months of searching for the bargain, from a fellow forum member.

It is the three-spoke airbag that is the costliest component and, that too, was subject to a considerable wait. Both components ran me aggregate $275. Many rough examples were available, but I held out.

Your $500 is fair, and that is illustrated by some of the loftier-priced wheels on eBay. The Tiptronic buttons run ^$75. Each. New.

Best wishes with the sale. Bet it doesn't last long...
