F/S: 986/987 Convertible Motor, Transmission, Relay, Cables $200

i overhauled my convertible top mechanicals and these are what i have left over.

• the relay works, verified on my 986
• the motor works, verified on my 986
• both transmissions work, i opened them up, cleaned them up and re-greased them, hooked them up by the cables to my drill and they spin smoothly and quietly. the passenger side gear has a crack in it, but can be lined up in sync with the other motor to avoid the crack, or replaced.
• the micro switch on the driver side trans mission works, verified on my 986
• the cables are in great shape with no fraying

if your top needs some work or if you want spares of these parts, i'll take $100 for the lot just to get them gone.

Not a bad deal at all. GLWS. Might want folks to know that there are two different top relays, one for 1997-99 cars and one for 2000-2004 models. Your top relay is for 2000-2004 model year cars.

thanks, you are correct this relay worked for my 2000 Boxster S, and will work for later year 986 models.

How much they weigh altogether?

I’ll bet they total less than 10 lbs. motor is small, transmissions are not heavy at all.

yea, i'd say less than 10lbs, i can weigh them tonight when i get home. $20 shipping should cover it.
