PSS9 Coilovers

I have a set of brand new never installed PSS9 coilovers for sale. I was going to install them on my vehicle, but have since needed to sell it. Asking $1300 shipped.

If these are model ****#48‐181440 , I'll likely take them. You can PM me or email me at TRNMotorsports at gmail dot com.

It was real (I was doubting too for a while because it took so long to hear back), I was the one that got them and they just came today, brand new and still sealed in the foam sleeves that they come in. I think the seller just didn't check the forum very often, I think I PM'd him very quickly and must have been the first, but didn't hear back for a while.

I've got to round up the bits that I need like the cup washers and the top mounts to get them ready to drop in so I can do it without disassembling my current struts.

Fun, this will be the 3rd time I have installed a suspension on this car:

1. Worn out OEM M030 to KSports
2. Ksports back to OEM M030 refreshed with Koni FSD and new rubber bits
3. OEM M030 to PSS9

I really like my current combo but I am getting to where the M030 springs are a little too soft and I am interested to see how the stiffer PSS9 springs do.

Great for you, sucks for me.

Maybe, I tried to sell the original ones when I put on the KSports and there was no interest (probably because the struts were very old and done for) and I was glad I kept them so I could refresh them and put them back on after the KSports didn't work for me (user error - I had them too low and then I put too big of a rear sway bar on, so it was my fault)

After I have the PSS9 on for a while, I will probably sell them. It is a good setup and anyone that needs to refresh their suspension, I recommend the Koni Special Active struts (formerly named Koni FSD).

That is one thing I will miss, the FSD action, the only other one (besides electronic PASM type struts) that I think have that same type of thing is the Ohlins Road and Track, but that is like $2400 :)

Zhotchkiss, have your tired either the FSD’s or special active yet? I was considering the special actives for my 986 S but I haven’t seen any reviews on them yet at all and was hesitant to be the first adopter.

zhotchkiss is gone from this thread, but I have the Koni FSD (which is the original name for the Special Active), I love them and wholeheartedly recommend them for someone wanting to replace their worn out struts. According to Gert at Carnewal, in the Porsche applications there is no difference in the the new special active and the original FSD.

There is a thread on here named something like "Has anyone tried the new Koni FSD" with some good info.

Edit: here it is: http://986forum.com/forums/performance-technical-chat/59231-anyone-tried-new-koni-fsd-struts.html
