Daily Driver Chi

Hey AJB, I have an 05 box daily driver and picked up 18 inch snow tires to go on my box s rims.....I didn't have any problems last year at all and the car performed awesome....I had the continental snow tires....eventually I'll have 19 inch carrera classics for summer wheels

Talking Got Sneaux?

We get a good spanking in terms of sneaux up here in minneapolis. I mounted some Kuhmo Ecsta ASX's on my old porsche 17's and there was not much i could not get through. The only time i ever ran into trouble was when i got high centered. I got the tires through the rack for about $100/tire. These are also pretty good in the dry too. Keep in mind these are all season tires....I'd buy another set in a heart beat.

I got my conti's from Just Tires....first porsche for me and I wanted to make sure I had the same size tire that my car came with on the rim....other places were close on the tire size but I wanted a perfect match to be safe....

I do remount them every season for now but I am hoping to have my 19's for next summer....

I knew I was going to get 19's the entire time or I would have bought the 17 inch wheel set from tire rack, they have the aftermarket porsche twists and tires I think for about 1400? I thought that was a pretty good option.....

that's the problem I was running into....the only tire I could find for the exact size was the conti and they were "special order" which means charge me more....the other guys were talking about strectchnig the tire over the rim and all sorts of scenarios....I passed on it

205 50 and 205 55 is the same width so there isn't any 'streching' involved there so I'm not sure what you mean when you talk about 'stretching'
