WTB a set of 16" wheels for snow tires

Near Detroit area, I'll travel a few hours for the right deal!

I've got 4 split spokes in near perfect condition. No caps. I'd have to get the tires dismounted, but $400 shipped?

Are those from Boxster or Cayman? Can you post pics and width/ offset?

Hi They are the original wheels from my 98 Boxster. They are 6" x 50mm and 7"X40.

Thanks for pics Monty.

I read your previous post wrong... thinking you got 4-spoke design wheels, as opposed to more conventional 5-spoke Porsche OEM wheels.

Now I was thinking 16" tires are cheaper, but apparently much more choice with 17" snow tires and most at less cost... tire rack web turned out only one Michelin snows for 16"...

I'm also thinking now of making my 17" twists winter wheels and get another sets of 17" for summer..

Regarding 17-in winter tires, check your owners manual, where you’ll note Porsche approves use of a narrower rear tire (225). This is good, because width is not your friend regarding winter traction. You can then find that there are Vredestein snows in these sizes ... which are on Porsche’s approved list, although not N-labeled, and not too expensive.

Definitely 225 in back, I'm wondering if I can even go 205 on 17x7 all around?
