For Sale: Used set of Pagid RS-14 “Black” front “racing” brake pads

For Sale: Used set of Pagid RS-14 “Black” front “racing” brake pads for 986 S models. Installed by my car’s previous owner, they have very low miles on them.

The calipers show the thinnest place that I could find on any of the four (4) pads, which you can see is at 0.635 inches / 16.1 mm, so there’s obviously lots of life left. I replaced these since they would often squeal a little bit when the rotors were cold, so they were not my first choice for a street car, aside from the fact that they do not have the brake wear sensor holes.

Today’s new cost for a set of these pads seems to be somewhere in the $250.00 to $300.00 USD range, so I’ll sell this set for $150.00 USD including freight to the lower 48.

(I have packed these for this sale into the box that my new replacement Textar pads came in, so don’t get freaked out by the box’s brand name when you receive them).

Do we know if Boxster S pads fit on a base 1999 model?

I'm going to go search around the forum to find an answer.
If so, I'm in need. lol

Edit: No, they don't.

Base p/n 2407 (front)
S model p/n 2405 (front)

Dave
Did you not like them?

Dave80GTSi 04-01-2017 12:07 PM

The previous owner put them on after doing a series of track days with the car. They have super grip, but since this is now a street-driven car only they tend to squeak a bit when the rotors are cold and in stop-and-go traffic. So I replaced them with some regular conventional Textar street pads.

These would serve an occasional track car well, but for me and the way that I use the car now, they are a bit of a waste.

Thanks - DM

P.S. - Yes, confirming that these pads do not fit a base Boxster - only the "S" models.
