WTB: Heater Control
Dealer was suppose to fix this but he reneged.
So now I have to try and get it repaired/replaced. Pelican has a replacement face. Has anyone ever tried this. Cheers! http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1460770717.jpg |
Easy DIY fix with the Pelican kit or one of these.
Porsche Climate Control LCD Repair Kit | ModuleMaster |
Had the same issue with mine - bought the module master Boxstersteve has highlighted and worked like a charm. It's an extremely quick and easy fix.

The icons look different on the replacement one? |
The script is slightly different on the Module Master kit. Can't speak to the Pelican kit though.

I purchased a replacement used HVAC unit from Ebay for about $100....it was an easy swap.

I've got the entire replacement module. Out of a 98 boxster. $100 sounds about right, I haven't priced it on Pelican.

Thanks Bart |
I don't remember exactly, but not all modules can be swapped (even though they appear identical). One of the pins was changed in the later 986s. Double check your PNs.
