Do you know if the guage cluster will work on S model with 8k tach?

I would think so but I couldn't tell you for sure.

Are the LCDs in the cluster any good, or are they full of the "snowflake" crazing defect?

AS far as I know (per previous owner) they're good but I have no way to verify.

You can tell just by looking at them. ;)

A bad LCD will have lighter patches when off, like below picture. Thanks!
