These must walk off on their own. I need one too. Anyone have the part number?

Try SunCoast. They're cheap, around $10 IIRC.

Pelican lists it as 986-563-551-00 but no longer available. Suncoast doesn't list it either.

Jontae - Sorry man - never could find if my father had it/lost it himself/put it in a box somewhere for me to find.

However, really nice porsche (silk?) zip-up hardtop cover in a porsche-branded hardtop-cover bag is in the mail to you. Hope that makes up for the lack of the center latch cover!

Seperate thread, but putting my winter wheels and tires up for sale now.

Thanks Joe! I only got to drive with the hardtop for a few days before I had leave on business again but the top is great. No worries about the latch cover, it's a commonly lost part.

Ebay has one, sorry no link, just punch in boxster hardtop. It's 41.95 w/ free shipping. Seems a little much but they do look much better with the cover.

Before you try eBay, give SunCoast a call. They weren't listed when I bought mine either, but they did have them ~ 3 years ago, and at a fraction of the cost of the guy on the bay.

Thanks Aron! I'll give them a call tomorrow. $41.95 is excessive for that trim piece especially on eBay. Pelican listed it for ~$13 when they had it.

In case anyone is still looking for this hard top latch cover that could be the easiest part to lose/misplace the part number is #SKU986HTL on Suncoast and sells for $30.

I used my hard top for the first time week, since owning my boxster and noticed that it appears to be something missing that would cover the latch mechanism. I had no idea that there would actually be a piece of plastic that would be made just for this. They should have the same latch system as the soft top IMO. however I bet with the cover the hard top would have a very clean look on the inside where the roof meets the window.

I actually like using the hard top more than the soft: Better rear visibility, looks sharp from the outside, doesn't feel quite like sitting in a cave as with the soft top to me.
