FS: A/C Climate Control Unit - Fully Functional

Hey All,

I have a fully functional 986/996 A/C Climate Control unit for sale.

I was having issues with my AC and thought I needed to replace the main unit. Turns out my unit was fine, and I now have an extra Climate Control unit that I don't need.

Unit is fully functional and has very little cosmetic wear, and bezel is included for mounting in lower console. Part #996-653-101-06

Asking $80, and I can ship same day.

Please email kjwinter89(at)gmail(dot)com if you need a faster response! Thanks.

A good price

It may not be plug N play. It may have to be initialized to your car. I purchased one and plugged it in and it blew a fuse and took out all my instruments....they returned when I replaced the fuse. I would up using only the LCD screen out of the one I purchased

were the part numbers the same or were they different?
They have changed the unit a few times over the years and it certainly is possible the wiring changed

Blowing a fuse sounds like a wiring issue.

The part number has evolved over the years, but I am unaware of any specific differences.

I currently have the A/C unit from my previous 97 Box installed in my 2000 BoxS, and this unit for sale is from a 2002 BoxS and worked fine in my 2000.

If you plug an early climate control into a late car, that will happen as pinouts are different.

To be safe, only replace a climate control with the same exact part number.

Good to know,

Fortunately a 97 A/C and 02 A/C unit both worked fine in my 2000. Maybe the 03+ part numbers have the pin change? Pdwight, any idea what vintage caused you problems?
