Durametric Software Cable

I have the connection cable for Durametric software that is available online for a free download. Works great, I used it to check on the health of my 2000 Boxster and clear error codes and such, asking half price, 125.00. Its easiest to reach me via email, edevlin@hsc.edu

Ed

that is a stellar deal
I would grab it if I did not already have one

Yeah I think I paid closer to $200 for mine.

I'll take it if still available. Sending PM and email...

Can't believe I missed this!

Just looked at the Durametric website and I think this may be a Gen1 cable that cannot use the newer software. The Gen 2 cables came out starting Feb 2008 and this one was bought March 2007
Durametric will upgrade the cable to the newer version for $150.

All that said, Ver 5 software is probably fine for the 986, but if you want to use in on newer models , may be a problem. With all that, it may not be worth $150

Sorry

125$ for a wire? Is there something I'm missing, I got a OBD-II bluetooth scanner off amazon for 23$ shipped

particlewave 08-27-2015 02:00 PM

Yes, you missed something. :p
I have an OBDII, also, but the Durametric does a heck of a lot more than OBDII. ;)

BrakeExpert 08-27-2015 03:06 PM

the challenge: will it reset ABS and airbag codes?

particlewave 08-27-2015 04:28 PM

Yes. Just did mine 10 minutes after it got here. ;)

I priced a new one from Durametric. It would be $300.66 shipped. Well worth the money if you need one of it functions for a repair.
