2001 Boxster S gauges

2001 Boxster S gauge cluster for sale $150.00.

Everything works, had Qmulus reset the mileage to 0 for the new owner.

Will work on 2001 - 2004 Boxster.

I will post pictures when I can.

Will consider a trade for 6 speed shifter knob and boot.

Hi, do you have pictures of the cluster please?

Thanks.

Qmulus is a forum member who can reset mileage and match VIN on clusters.

BTW, is it possible to install a "manual" cluster into a Tiptronic? And a S cluster into a base?
Thanks.

A manual cluster may work in a tiptronic car, but it won't show the gear selection information. So I suggest that you avoid doing that. There are plenty of Boxster clusters for sale.

I believe the S cluster will work in a base car, but you may want to check if the analog speedometer shows a higher top speed. If it does, you will probably have a slight analog speedometer error. It may not be noticeable. The digital speedometer will be accurate.

Here's a link to a post with information on programming a Carrera gauge cluster to work in a Boxster. You can use the same information to program a cluster that you swap from one Boxster to another. http://986forum.com/forums/general-discussions/43017-carrera-gauge-swap.html

FYI: I have an S cluster in my base and the analog speedometer is still dead on with the digital.
(and both are still 4mph fast )

How high does the Boxster S speedometer go? I think my original Boxster cluster had an analog speedometer with a top speed of 155. The Carrera cluster reads to 175 and I think the Carrera S tops out at 200. It's nice to know that by simply changing the cluster that I added 20 mph to the top speed of the car.

After reprogramming the Carrera cluster is accurate. However, I almost never look at it while driving since the marks are so close together that it is distracting to read.

The pre-facelift S cluster in my car goes to 175.
