That is not a Porsche OEM part, but a ****************ty Chinese knock off. It all depends on what you want to put into your car. I paid $31 for it new from Pelican, plus shipping. However, thanks for the bump, and price lowered to $20 plus shipping.

Your logic is impeccable, other than the fact that the super extreme high quality Porsche OEM part you're so fond of seems to have a tendency to fail at low mileage/hours. My OE switch failed at ~26K miles. I put an $11 switch from eBay in the car and it works fine, and has for a couple of years now. I have another $11 switch on hand as a spare.

Good for you - go ahead and fix your Porsche with cheap knock off crap. Whatever. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not so good.

I tend to use the correct OEM stuff, but that's just me, and money isn't as much of a concern as it may be for others. When I purchase a used sports or exotic car, and I've purchased my fair share over the years, I try to buy from enthusiasts who think about the car like I do - original parts, quality work, no shortcuts. I'm not looking to sell this ignition switch to you. I'm looking to sell it to someone who is interested in using the OEM parts on their Porsche, someone who doesn't sweat the extra 10 bucks to get the real part. Anyway, thanks for the bump.

bump - still for sale.

Man shame to let OEM parts sit idle. If it fits my 98 I'll take it as a reserve!

Payment sent by Paypal. Thanks
