Does the ignition switch needs to be matched with the key? Where are you located? Shipping to 94539?

Sorry - just saw this (haven't looked here in a bit). You do not need a new key. This part snaps in to the back of the part where the key goes. It is what typically fails and causes all sorts of funky problems includin a no-start. Shipping would be no more than $10 to CA.
