The case is bad but the insides work fine.

Easy to exchange into your good case should you have the electronic part fail.

what do you mean the case is bad? The buttons wore off on mine but the cd player works fine, just face plate looks ugly. Would this solve my issue

The two little clasps on the top that holds the two halves together are broken, but otherwise in great shape.
I guess it could be glued along the seam or welded with a hot knife...

To answer your question about the buttons, the bottom buttons are "captive" and part of the case, the top 5 buttons are not captive and are removable...

Does anyone know if this circuitry is for the display only? As long as I don't have any radio code problems/etc I'll take it for $20
