I finally got under the 2000 S I have and it looks like the motor has been replaced. Before the cars are shipped to the states, Porsche sprays cosmoline on the undercarriage of the cars. This motor has none and it looks real clean for a car with 90,000. Judging by the dirt on the motor, I'm guessing the motor has between 20-50,000. $3500 as it come out of the car.

Sorry for the short tease, but the motor and trans look to be sold

Check the Engine serial number -- I believe if it starts with an AT it has been replaced.

If it's factory new and you know the history -- you might be able to figure out who replaced it and when. However historically Porsche service centers are not linked together and you'll have to get lucky to find the exact one.

Mike,
I was about to start going down that path of trying to research it's history. I was confirming with Brad Roberts that it looked like a replacement and he said he would take it.
It was good meeting you at the PCA tech day. I'm really looking forward to seeing your 911 one of these days. Did you see pics of Mike's car after it was done? Looked real nice! I need to get busy on mine and maybe one day the three of us could have a little RSR parade.

Brian0icu812, Your mailbox is full. I found that small link you were looking for. I'll be busy until Tuesday though.

Luckyed, I don't have a good one.

I'm looking for all black or black and silver 5 spd shift knob and boot set up.
Looking for one without worn out leather.
Thanks

Woody,

Good to meet you too! Yes Mark's car looks awesome. What a transformation.

I do have a request -- do you have an S front bumper (or two) -- cosmetically challenged but structurally sound? could use the plastic support pieces too.

We're rebuilding the front end of our chump car... surprised how well it lined up.

We're going to make a couple nose clips -- because it's Chumps.....

Color doesn't matter. Could use a couple tow hooks too.

lmk,

Mike
