Each converter (exhaust manifold or secondary pipe) is $50 plus shipping. So if you needed all four, it would be $200. PM me or call/text me at 512-925-9171

Just a heads-up, I'm picking up a 2000 996 on Tuesday. I'm on the fence about keeping the 3.4 and cluster for myself

Well I guess I should "let the cat out of the bag". I don't have a Boxster of my own yet. :o I was waiting for the right one to come around at the right time. I first got introduced to Boxsters about two years ago with a flooded 2000 S I bought at auction. The only reason I bought it was for the calipers so I could put them on my 911SC. I started selling parts off the boxster to recoup my money. At that time, buying and selling car/truck parts was strictly a hobby to pay for my car hobby. I quickly fell in love with the Boxster and the Porsche community. The Porsche clientele were a lot better to deal with than other makes and models clientele. From that first Boxster on, it just snow balled to what I have now. I've always wanted a Boxster but didn't want to afford one. I've also not had one come along that caught my interest. There was always something wrong a particular car that would keep me from keeping it as my own. Too damaged, too many miles, Parts Only Title, tiptronic, or a 2.5. I want a good 3.2 6 speed without too many issues ,but haven't found any at a good price.
Of course this 996 I just bought might change that. A 3.4 is better than 3.2!! I do have a 97 that wouldn't take much to bring back from the dead. I have everything to turn the 97 into an S except a good motor. The weather here is going to be sucky for a while, so it might be awhile before I can get the 3.4 out and check its condition. Stay tuned!

Forgot to add, I'm also picking up a GT3 bumper and side skirts when I go pick up the 996. I've also been stashing some aftermarket parts as they come in. Headers, mufflers and tinted taillights. I have a Dansk muffler that I'm more than likely going to sell. I watched a video of someone with a 3.4 swap and he had a Dansk muffler on his. It wasn't aggressive enough for me. I need to hear it in person first before I decide if I want to get rid of it.

Very cool. I do wish you lived closer. I would be over kicking tires at your place and would enjoy watching the pending 3.4 project.... when it starts. That would require a separate progress thread.

I need one of the headlight mounting brackets. I think the right one. They work now but the part that holds the connector is broken. Just makes it harder to our back in. I could also use the cover for the inside light.

Pics of the 996 build !

I have the headlight mount for $40 shipped. I don't have any inside covers

I just got this in. It's a 2000 with 120,000 miles and it had a fire behind the motor. The motor is mostly untouched. I'm still trying to figure out what happen and haven't even checked to see if I can manually turnover the motor. The starter doesn't turn it over or even click. I'm thinking either the catalytic converter got too hot or some kind of electrical short? I'm still on the fence about using the 3.4 or selling it. I did offer it to a friend who needs one for his 99. The 996 has a "parts only" title, so I'll be parting it out. I have buyers for the headlights already.

I have some amber headlights that have burn marks on the inside and are yellow on the outside. $25 plus shipping each

mipstien 02-26-2015 09:00 AM

Could you get pictures of the headlights? I am wanting an extra set to hack up and see if I can make a projector project.

greenheckler 02-27-2015 12:18 PM

Hi,
Would you have a driver's side inside door panel in black with a non-Bose door speaker opening? Base not S model. Shipping to 92614

I should, $75 shipped. I need to see what style you have because there are a few different types. Send some pictures to 512-925-9171

Twomato 02-28-2015 04:30 AM

Woody, are those exhaust tips on the 996 stock? could we get a pic? I'm looking for some aftermarket, larger diameter, chrome tips for my 2001 996. thanks.
