complete 2.5L motor disassembled for sale
 

any interest out there for a completely torn down 2.5L motor, with 96k miles.

the engine turned but was blowing a ton of smoke before i dismantled the car. i pulled the heads and found lots of plastic impeller bits from a blown water pump. there was no intermix or signs of intermix around the coolant passages. the heads look good aside from a bit of carbon build up mostly on the exhaust valves. no signs of cracks on either head. split the case and examined the sleeves and they all look ok. no cracks, d-chunks or the like. looks like the classic blown water pump issue. i have no idea how long the car was driven after the pump failed but after tearing it down it appears no major damage was done, so the block would probably be a great candidate for a rebuild/ refresh.

its broken down to both heads, case and IMS and wheel carrier/ crankcase/ pistons. i have all the bolts and oil sump parts. if you need other ancillaries i probably will have that too. you get a complete long block in bits.
