WTB: oil sump pan for 3.2L "S"

As the title says, I need the oil pan for a 3.2L out of a boxster S. Also need to include a few of the oil pan bolts.

Yep, this one was bottomed out on a rock (boulder) that cracked the pan and broke off a couple bolts. Yikes! We'll see if there is more damage after fixing this. I'll share more of the story after I find out how bad the damage is. Lost radiator hose too. How long can a motor run without oil and coolant. Not long, but how long? 10 seconds, 30, 60, 120? I know how long this motor was left running and that it was still running when turned off, but do not yet know how much damage was done.

I have a stock 986 pan in good condition but no bolts. Want it?

I think a better question is "How much accelerated wear has happened while the engine was running overheated & low on oil?"

Cutting open the oil filter is the 1st step to check for wear metals & while the pan is off check the oil pump pickup. Other than that you have to disassemble the engine, so I would change the oil & filter & top off coolant with filtered water. Restart engine & see how it runs.

The car is not here right now, it is storage, but I thought I recalled that the bottom of the pan had fins for cooling. Anyone know if the non S pan will work with an S? If so, PM me with cost for shipping to Decatur, IL 62526. Thanks, Joe

There is only one number in the parts manuals 1999-2004, 997 107 031 55
the 2005 - 2008 manual still shows that same number, with a supercede to 997 107 031 057
