FS Cabriolet Top Cover S O L D!!!!!!!!!
Excellent condition. Great way to protect the top from sun, weather, birds, pets and trees. Easy on. Easy off. Keeps the sun out of your cabin and off your leather. Stay cool my friends! 
This is shown on my 987S. It will also fit a 986, since the 986 is slightly smaller.
$95 plus shipping.
Includes storage bag and instructions. Washable.

I don't think so, but it could certainly be sprayed with Ragg Topp or 303, for example, to make it more water repellent.
The premise behind the cover is more about keeping out sunlight and tree & bird droppings.

I purchased the cover from an eBay'er several years ago. Yes, it is made from a car cover type material. The washing instructions (will be included) suggest NOT to use detergent (only one cup Fantastic), cold to lukewarm water (not more tham 100 degrees) and air dry, to protect the the mold & mildew treatment and water repellency of the fabric.
I only ever used the cover 2-3 times during the past several years. It's in like-new condition.
