Free and low $ Parts

I have a bunch of stuff that someone on a budget might want. Some is free (pay shipping and a little gas money) other stuff give me price or best offer:

All came off a 2000 'S' 986 with around 57 miles at the time. Pay shipping and $5 for gas:

- Front control arms (wishbone). GONE - MConte05
- Front control arms (track arms): $15 SOLD - MConte05
- Yellow side lights.
- Front rotors. GONE - MConte05
- Front motor mount. GONE
- Rear plastic guards. GONE - Homeboy981
- Drop links: $15 SOLD to Meir
- Gas cap. GONE
- Radiator cap. GONE
- AOS: $10. SOLD
- Clutch Kit: $20 SOLD

I also have a water pump. Seems to be working like new can post picture will take $25 plus shipping. Wondering why I have all this...I like to work on my car and do preventative maintenance, everything that came off except motor mount seems to be in perfect working order.

Cheers.

If the rear plastic guards aren't damaged I want them & the AOS. Anything you might be looking for to trade?

The rubber piece on the bottom of the guards is loose on one and not very tight on both, but that is expected with age, they can be used as is. The AOS is perfect. PM address and I'll give you a Paypal account. Hope the parts work out well for you. Cheers.

The rubber is usually what goes 1st on mine so I'm out on all 3 parts for now. Good pics of the guards would help if you have time. Thanks anyway.

Here is a picture of the guards. I forgot I had worked on one to see if I could get ride of stone chips, it came out pretty good actually. You can see the little rubber things on the bottom aren't on tight but they won't fall off, the remaining pins hold them on.

Hi whip.
I'll take the 2 rear drop links.
That's funny I was thinking about it today.
They need to be replaced, but I don't want to buy new OEM or the TRW replacement.
The plan is to have the ROW kit, maybe as a spring project.:D
Plaese send me PM with the info.

Neekk1 12-26-2012 04:25 PM

How much for the rotors ?

Meir 12-26-2012 04:30 PM

Sorry. Posted twice by mistake.

Hi Meir, not sure the drop links in front and rear are any different but I'll look real close. I'll PM you.

Free since you might want to grind them though not required. Just pay shipping which I expect will be a fair amount to ship because they are very heavy.

MConte05 12-26-2012 08:11 PM

I would love to take the control arms, track bone, and rotors off your hands. All those things need some replacing on mine. :)

Thanks Whip.

You got them, it looks like BYprodriver passed on them.

WhipE350 12-27-2012 02:37 PM

Thank you every one for your interest in my used parts. Here is what remains:

- Yellow side lights.
- Rear plastic guards. Waiting for Homeboy981 to give me shipping info :)
- AOS: $10.
- Water Pump: $25

I'll also be seeing what else I have.

WhipE350 12-27-2012 03:25 PM

One more part. When I did my IMS I bought the whole clutch kit. Had I known there was another 30k left on it I would have likely only replaced the disk and even that still has 1/16 before the rivets left. I think the new one only had a little more than 2/16s. The throw out bearing is fine too. The pressure plate could go another 50k miles. For someone on a budget this could save a bunch.

$20 + shipping. I might also be able to fit it into one of those Priority Mail "If it fits it ships" boxes which would save a bunch on shipping too.

Damn! I need this too!

Although I think it won't work for a base boxster as you have the S right?

WhipE350 12-28-2012 08:32 AM

Not sure if it works on a Base. I PM'd you.

BrokenLinkage 12-28-2012 10:59 AM

thanks

My 2001S is at 85K and bound to need a clutch soon, but I'd rather spend the parts $ on some elective upgrades (IMS), and its about time for the AOS to go, so I'll take both off your hands. Sending PM , thanks!

It does appear the 'S' is not the same as the Base, though I couldn't tell by looking at the pictures. Mine is an 'S' correct.
