Just removed this from my car, which has been in place for the past several oil changes.

As you can see from the pics, I went to remove it last week and I used a socket one size too big. I grabbed the wrong socket. Started to round the corners. Good thing this is just on the removal side of the hex. You can tighten this down on your car without worry. And, judging by the damage, shouldn't really be a problem coming off either. After all, when I used the correct sized socket, it came off just fine.
