OEM Porsche 996 / 986 S New Factory Wood Shift Knob
 

I have a new dark burr maple shift knob (6-speed) for 996 / 986 S for sale. I bought the entire shift knob and boot assembly as it was the only way I found to replace the silver metallic horseshoe trim from the exclusive option on my 2001 Boxster S that I had broken. The full factory part for the shift knob and boot assembly was 996-424-981-17-VJR, although this post is just for the shift knob. Please see the pictures and ensure proper fit for your vehicle. Very nice. I have silver trim pieces in my car and the wood and leather steering wheel this would be beautiful. I'm pretty sure though my post is round, yours doesn't look it. I'd have to ask my parts guy if it would fit.

It would fit on my 2001 Boxster S as I have the same knob in black leather and silver but I am not sure for 2000 Boxster S.
