Anybody have an idea what I should ask for these wheels? I'm at a loss putting a price to them. 17" option # XLA-sport classic wheels in '98. Thanks.

How many are scraped up? Also, you need to know what you want to get out them. When I sell wheels and tires, it is about getting rid of them not "needing" to sell them for a specific amount. You can see from historical sales on Ebay and on the classifieds here what they have sold for or asked for. Mostly dependent on whether they're perfect or scraped up. I, for one, wouldn't by any used wheels that weren't perfect. Some would buy rashed or scraped up wheels for Winter or track use. Good luck.

No road rash at all, a few small scratches here and there. Straight and true. A good cleaning and scotch brite would make them probably 99% perfect. The only set I had found on Ebay was a chromed set going for $2000+. I know these aren't worth close to that. Thanks for your reply. I'm thinking ?? 750$ + shipping?

On a side note, this is going to replace them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/19-Sport-Classic-Style-Wheels-Rims-Porsche-987-Boxster-/390343205805?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &vxp=mtr&hash=item5ae244a3ad

Good luck with that fitment on a 986. IIRC you can't put an 11 inch rim on the back of a 986. The 40 offset numbers also do not seem to be in the range of acceptable offset.

Ebay is a poor source for pricing. Most of the wheels on eBay have been languishing there for 6+ months without selling.

I just bought a spare set of 2002 Turbo Twist wheels for $350 in good (not excellent) condition (shown below). Current going price for a set of used OEM Boxster wheels is $400-$600 depending on condition and how bad someone wants to get rid of them or buy them.

What are the wheel sizes and off-sets? Also, what (if any) rubber is on them and what is the tread depth?

feelyx 11-23-2011 11:22 PM

They are 7"x17" fronts and 8.5" rears. Rubber is almost new in front. Rears are almost gone, but legal. I havent looked at the offset yet, but it looks like these are pending "sold". Thanks for everyones help.
