Check with the Dealer Most factory car alarms have a code and a specific method: ie turn key on/off three time and push the unlock button on the remote If it is not turned off correctly it could cause major problems. The alarm is part of the ANTI-Theft module and if disrupted will not allow the car to start. It will either turn off power to the starter or the fuel pump.
