WTB: dash speaker
 

I have a 996 and my amp recently dropped a channel. Upon replacing it I found that when the amp blew it also took out my passenger side dash speaker - actually just the large speaker as the tweeter still works.

Therefore I need a new one. If anyone has a dash speaker please let me know. I know some people keep the original teardrop housing when they replace with aftermarket so if that is the case and you happen to still have just the speaker (no housing) that may work as well.

My part number is 996.645.038.02 01C although others may fit as well.

Personally I would replace both of the dash speakers as the factory speakers are not of high quality. Put in some 4" speakers and you will be more than happy with the improvement in quality. I found a pair of high end Boston Acoustic 4" speakers for $76 on Ebay. The improvement was well over 100% better
