WTB: Tip Shifter button
Not sure what it's called exactly, but it's the little button on top of the shifter in the Tip cars. mine is silver and has some pretty deep scratches and nicks out of it.. looking to replace it with a nicer one.
if you have one let me know! thanks! |

Tip shift button
That knob looks good, especially with the crest. Did it come that way and is that tan cover leather?
You can remove the silver button and re-spray it. I did that but have found I will have to do it again as it is dull and worn after just one year. I sprayed with silver than clear coat but maybe I didn't let it cure long enough for the paint to harden. I wonder if a carbon fiber button is available? AKL |
You want durability? Find a place that does powder coating, that little thing will be cheap to do and it will look like buffed aluminum. You'll find allot of exhaust systems are powered coated, the process provides an insulating factor to keep the exhaust gas hot and flowing (increased velocity, scavenging) and will not discolor the pipes.

It will work if the material is metal...check the material. |
it is plastic.
that picture was stolen from an ebay auction for the entire assembly, i just need the silver part. i've been looking for a carbon fiber one actually.. no luck yet |
Powdercoating won't work with plastics.
