FS: 18" BFG Tires

4 BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tires with 4/32 tread left. Sizes are:

245/40/18
275/35/18

These work well with the wider than stock rims from Wheel Dynamics and they really fill out the wheel wells.

$175 + shipping

Here are some pics of my tires. This is a front, others are the same. I said 4/32 in original post, probably closer to 5/32. Lots of tread left.

If you had to throw a reasonable guesstimate on the mileage left, what would it be?

This was my first set of BFGs so I don't know how far they'll go. They have 11K on them, so they should be good for another 8K. They are good in the corners, ride nice, and perform in the wet. I'll definitely buy another set when the time comes (except now they'll be 19s).

BTW...
I live in zip 68164 in case anybody want to guestimate shipping costs.

How did you like the 245 & 275 set up?

How is it compared to 225 & 265?

I had these tires on the wheels I purchased from Wheel Dynamics (DJ's favorite chrome lobsters). They were 8x18, 50mm and 10x18, 47mm (the std sizes they sell for Boxsters). The 245s were just able to clear the spring on the strut (there was about a thumb's clearance). If you're using a std 7.5x18, 50mm wheel, the handy-dandy offset calculator says your std wheel will be 6mm further out, so there shouldn't be any clearance issues. The 275s are the bomb. They measures 11" across and really fill up the wheel well.

The guy at the tire store talked me into these larger sizes because my new wheels were wider than factory (1/2" frt, 1" rear). He thought these sizes better suited the wider wheels. These bigger tires may be more tire than std wheels can handle. If you're planning on putting them on factory wheels, might want to check with your friendly neighborhood tire store to see if they think they'd work.

Well I'm planning on picking up some wide spec replica Sport Technos real soon.

The specs will be 8" front w/ 50 mm offset and 10" rear w/ 47mm offset.

I could use these wheels if shipping isn't too much. Could you get me a quote, they would be shipped to Sacramento, CA 95831.

Thanks,
Robert
