WTB: Faceplate for CDR-220

Anyone have a faceplate for a CDR-220 that they would sell for fairly cheap? There are some that are listed as "buy-it-now" on eBay for around $100 and some that have sold on auction for somewhat less. I've pretty much used up my budget purchasing and repairing this 2000S I bought around a month ago from a used car dealer. http://www.986forum.com/forums/image...ies/nopity.gif I noticed on the way home after I bought it that it didn't have the faceplate attached. Since the ad for the car mentioned the radio/CD/etc I assumed it was stored somewhere on the car for safe keeping. I'm calling and bugging the dealer on a fairly regular basis about when they plan to get a faceplate for my CD/radio - lately I haven't been able to speak directly with the owner/decision maker but the next question is "do you plan to make this deal right and provide the faceplate?" I'm not holding my breath till they agree to that so I will probably replace it and then ask them to reimburse me. Since they're currently in good standing with the BBB maybe they will see reimburseing me as a viable alternative to a complaint with the BBB.

I'm not a car stereo hi-fi nut (although I am at home - but in the car I only want to hear the music of the boxer engine and AM radio occasionally for news, traffic, and weather) so I just want to replace the faceplate so that it works and so that it's original.

So is there maybe anyone willing to sell one for around $50 (or less of course)?

Then the next issue is that I will have to somehow get the radio code for it.

Bumping my original post - and adding that a low cost complete radio might be an option too although all I really need is a faceplate - and a radio code.

Try here for your radio code: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=14539

Of course you will need a faceplate first. There are a few on eBay for around $100.
