Is a dismanteler (aka a wrecking yard) that specializes in Porsches. A list of dismantelers is on my web site .

Chpanther,

I have the front bumper from my 2001 986 available for sale for $100.00 and I live in Waxahachie (about 25 miles South of Dallas). As you can tell I didn't clean it up or anything, I just went out in the back and took pics. First the bad: it needs a repaint due to the road scuffing, scratching, flaking, peeling, etc of several years of driving, and is very dirty, but the dirt can be cleaned off with a hose and rag quickly, the tortoise is not included, he didn't want to move for the pictures and he's like a tank, so I didn't move him. Now the good: it is OEM Porsche as it originally came on my 2001 so its polyurethane, not fiberglass, it includes the tow hole plug, you don't have to pay shipping if you are in Dallas as we can just meet and you can get it, and the price is right $100.00. Let me know if you want it and we can probably close the whole deal today.

Take care,

Mike

I really like the Tortoise. Is he yours, or does he just hang around your yard?

thenavarro 08-13-2007 06:27 AM

Hi Grizzly,

He's one of my pets. He's a Sulcata tortoise, and weighs about 63 pounds or so. He's about 12 years old. He lives in my backyard (AKA my jungle :) ) I also have a Bennett's Wallaby, bearded dragons, clown fish, and chihuahuas. I had a caiman up to a couple of months ago and we had a massive storm and he got away (the neighbors weren't real excited!!!) Take care,

Mike

A wallaby! I want to come see. Sounds like a good fieldtrip for the Dallas Boxster-ers.

thenavarro 08-13-2007 05:12 PM

Hi Timothy,

My house is way too messy to have a fieldtrip to (according to my wife) , however, if some of the Boxster guys wanted to come down to Waxahachie, I'd be glad to show y'all around our historic Courthouse one Saturday or Sunday, and maybe grill a few burgers off my balcony in the picture, and then maybe head off on a drive on some of our twisty farm to market roads. And, I could bring Irwin (my wallaby) to show the group. If there's enough interest, respond to the post and we'll set something up.

Mike, i thought it was cool that you had a tortoise, but now that i see that picture i think your amazing, and i would totally drive to see it, lol.

Chpanther69,

Here's another one for you, this is the only pic I have of Irwin in the Porsche, I kept trying to get him to pose standing up holding the wheel, but he is kinda stubborn. Ha, ha! In all seriousness, if we could get up a group of 10 or so, we have a pretty good restaurant down here called Catfish Plantation (it's supposedly haunted and has been featured many times on TV, publications etc.). that we could all go to dinner or lunch at and if y'all wanted to bring the spouses or girlfriends, there are some great antique and knick knack shopping on the square around the courthouse that they might enjoy and I'd give everyone a tour of the courthouse (you'd be surprised at the amount of tourists we get from all over the world that just come to see the architecture) and then we could all set off for some fun on the FM roads, just bring the V1's.

So...how did you keep the Caiman from eating the Chihuahuas?

NickCats 08-14-2007 06:36 AM

Navarro,

That wallaby rocks ! What's up with the little vest, though ?

Wallaby 's dont like it when you question there sense of fashion

thenavarro 08-14-2007 07:20 AM

Grizzly,

The caiman was still a little small to actually consume the chihuahuas, but he could have hurt them with his bite, the caiman was actually pretty mean. However, the Chi's live in my house and don't go in the back. The caiman was actually in a land/water tank in the backyard, that I had covered with steel grates that overhung the edges, when the storm hit, it filled up the tank with overflowing water and that caused the sides of the cage to bow out, which caused the steel grates to fall in and the rush of the water propelled the caiman out and he got away. Live and learn I guess, I never envisioned the flooding that caused too much weight in the tank.

NickCats and CJ Boxster,

That little vest is actually his harness that I use to attach his leash too. Anytime he goes with me out of our yard, and its in a non-contained space, I have to put the harness on him, as they are prey animals by nature, and their first instinct is to flee at anything new to them in a new environment, and he can hop a LOT faster (supposedly up to 30 miles an hour for a short distance) then this 36 year old overweight man can run. I also carry a large pouch with me when we go on walks and if a dog, exhaust from a car, loud noise from a lawnmower or something startles him, then he will immediately jump up in my pouch. He's quite a character.
